CPP Team Arrives in Haiti

Seven adventuresome students and adults from Prescott, AZ arrived in welcoming Haiti yesterday, October 7.  Traveling on behalf of the local non-profit Children's Peace Project, the team landed in Port-au-Prince and then flew up to Cap Haiten arriving late in the afternoon.  Edy, our local guide (contracted by CPP) was waiting for us with open arms.  The team from Prescott is composed of four adults (Jessica Sult, Mike Strasser, David DenHartog, and Rodney Montreuil---Rodney resides in Phoenix and is a native Haitian.)  The students participating are Sarah Jensen; Grace Strasser (Sarah and Grace are 10th grade students at Prescott High School); and Martel DenHartog (10th grade student at Northpoint Academy.)  Each of the students will take turns writing a blog about their daily experience.  First up will be Gracie!  I hope you enjoy following our blog and living vicariously through our experiences! ---david
